steelworks performs at its best when it’s kept in top shape. And the best place to do that is where steelworks was first born – at the thyssenkrupp factory. We strongly recommend you have your bike serviced by us directly.

And you can use the exclusive shipping case that’s tailored just for steelworks to ensure that your bike always arrives and departs in perfect form.

How to check the status of my order?

We will inform you the following status of your order via e-mail:

Production: Your Bike is produced, assembled and ready for shipment. 

Your Bike is now on the way to you. Please allow us to verify your identity when we handover the Bike to you.

Pick-up: If you chose to pick-up your steelworks bike in Duisburg, we will inform you when your bike is ready. Please allow us to verify your identity when we handover the Bike to you.

Service/Inspection

Your bike needs an inspection? Or you need a repair service outside the guaranty? We offer you the following:

  •  First Inspection (after the first 1000 km or within the first year after purchase) in our Service Point in Duisburg is free. You only have to pay the shipping cost.

  •  Each additional annual inspection for 59.90 € excl. shipping cost.

  •  Safety check (Check of all safety-related screwings, function control of the brakes, basic adjustment brakes, basic adjustment gearshift) for 35.95 €.

  •  For any other services, please send us an e-mail.

Step by step:

  1.  Send us an e-mail with the subject “Inspection & Repair”. If you reside in Germany, we will send you a shipping label. If you reside outside of Germany, we will organize the shipment of your bike with our logistic partner Inntralog GmbH.

  2.  Pack your bike carefully into the original box.

  3.  Stick the return label onto the outer side of the box and send this back to

  4.  Our service mechanics will check your bike carefully. If we detect any additional damage, we will contact you to agree upon additional charges.

  5.  As soon as the inspection and repair is finished, we will send your bike back to you. You will receive a service report and the invoice (incl. shipping cost for both direction).

We really want you to be satisfied with your new steelworks bike. Should you want to return your bike, please send an e-mail to info.steelworks@thyssenkrupp.com with the following information: full name, address, e-mail and the reasons of return.

In case you had chosen to pay by installment, please also provide us information about your bank account, so that we can refund your money.

We will confirm your return request with an e-mail.

Now it is important that you pack the bike and all other items carefully into the original box, including the return application form. We are not responsible for any damages caused during packaging. Then, stick the return label onto the outer side of the box and send this back to

When the box arrives, we will send you a confirmation via e-mail. After the check-up, we will refund your money.

Important tips and information:

If the bike is damaged while it was delivered to you, please report to us. Send us an e-mail with picture of damages with the subject “Guaranty and warranty”.
