We invite you to experience the transformation of steel production. During a plant tour of the Duisburg site, our tour guides will give you an informative insight into the production processes of today and tomorrow.

Our plant sites

Duisburg is Europe’s biggest steelmaking site. This is where steel production takes place – from pig iron manufacture to end product.

The tours conducted by our team are currently restricted to the Duisburg plant. Tours of other plants – in Bochum, Dortmund, Eichen and Andernach – are exclusively for trade professionals.

Your safety is our priority

Safety regulations for plant tours

Your personal safety has priority on a plant tour.

We therefore kindly request you to observe and comply with the instructions on safety and clothing and ensure that all participants are made aware of these. You will be provided with the necessary protective equipment on site. Please follow the instructions given by our experienced guides on the day of your visit.

Please note that the minimum age for participation in a tour is 16. The factory tours are not barrier-free.

Tour participants must wear sturdy, enclosed shoes and dirt-resistant clothing covering the whole body – even in hot summer temperatures. Please understand that we will not allow visitors to enter the plant area without appropriate clothing.

Persons with limited mobility, wheelchair users, wearers of active body aids (e.g. pacemakers) and pregnant women are advised not to take part in a plant tour.
